We believe in making sure our children are given the right opportunities to develop a passion for learning, and we are very fortunate to have an exceptional team of teachers who work incredibly hard to provide the most excitement and innovative learning experiences to truly engage them.
We use the most innovative technology to further enhance this experience; for example our children really love exploring the past and the world through VR! Academically, our children achieve exceptionally well, and our school results are consistently significantly above national figures.
Ensuring that our children develop social empathy and demonstrate the skills needed to make a positive contribution to their school and wider community is equally important to us as their academic achievement.
Our values system, which is integral to all that we do here at Preston Hedge’s, promotes and rewards the children demonstrating our fundamental values of: ‘Respect’, ‘Resilience’, ‘Caring’, ‘Co-operation’ ‘Self-Discipline’ and ‘Aspiration’.
We are very proud that our children demonstrate these values both inside and out of school, and we often see our pupils and families giving up their precious personal time in order to support local and national charities and causes.
Our school community is increasingly one of wonderful diversity, and we have a superb pupil team of Equality and Diversity Champions in place to make sure that all members of our Preston Hedges family feel fully represented and see themselves and each other in the curriculum and in our wider school activities.
Preston Hedges Primary School is an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ two form entry primary school in the West of Northampton. We currently have 420 pupils on roll who come from our local community of Wootton Fields and Wootton Village. We are proud to be an outstanding school, as it recognises the hard work and commitment of our wonderful children, our talented team and our supportive parents.
