Y1 – Irchester Country Park Trip

As part of our topic ‘The World around Us’, we are taking the children to Irchester Country Park to put into practise their brand-new geography fieldwork skills.
The children will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities including a minibeast safari, a scavenger hunt and an orienteering activity called Race for Red Mountain, which involves teamwork and solving orienteering clues to reach Red Mountain.

As we will be eating our lunch at Irchester Country Park, please can you provide your child with a packed lunch, in a plastic bag.
Please ensure children are dressed in their school uniform and that they have their big outdoors clothes and wellies in school.
